Jotun is searching for a Project Manager with extensive experience for our exciting new factory project in Egypt (Project value 40 -50 million USD).
As Project Manager, you will have the full responsibility for building our new factory, along with warehouse, administrative and technical buildings with the necessary infrastructure. This is a complex project utilizing new technology, and as a Project Manager you are responsible for delivering a successful project by effectively managing and leading the project to meet project objectives: quality, cost and time targets with a continuous focus on HSE. You will report directly to the Steering Committee, administratively to Managing Director in Egypt, - and cooperate with other stakeholders.
You will also be responsible for managing contracts, risks, authorities, permits and comply with Law, regulations and Jotun standards and policies. The Project Manager will upon completion of this project report to Group Technical Director Engineering in Jotun A/S and join our competent staff of Project Managers, getting opportunities for new exciting projects world-wide.
Responsibility
- Regular and structured reporting to project Owner and Steering committee
- Manage tender processes; follow up consultants and contractors together with technical project manager.
- Develop project execution strategy and procedures.
- Follow up on solutions, progress and budget,
- Ensure updates on committed forecasts and follow up monthly versus investments.
- Overall responsible for contract management, risk management and cost control.
- Daily follow up and monitoring of project and personnel with focus on Quality and HSE.
- Implementing and follow Jotun values, procedures, policies and standards as well as local regulations, standards and laws.
- Approve the changes that may occur during the project implementation which does not affect budget or progress.
- Submit proposals to Project Owner/Steering group for approval of major changes.
- Facilitate cooperation between corporate and local organisation and integrate them in the project.
- Provide the project team with information on local needs and requirements
- Recruit personnel for project and ensure adequate training in cooperation with General Manager and HR.
- Ensure that Jotuns accumulated experience and learning from other factory projects are included in project by facilitating transfer of best practice.
