Esol Education Overview: Esol Education is a leader in the field of international primary and secondary education, currently responsible for the management of nine schools in the Middle East and Mediterranean regions. The organization has experienced considerable growth in recent years and continues to enhance the scope and quality of its school management services and operations.
Role description:
The PR & Communications Manager will support Esol Education’s overall communication efforts, focusing on Egypt operations, with a view towards increasing stakeholder awareness of Esol Education in relation to its schools in Cairo, effectively communicating Esol Education’s value proposition and distinctiveness. The position reports to the members of Esol’s leadership team.
Following are the key tasks and responsibilities of the role.
1. PR Management
Identify and propose key opportunities to engage with media, and develop a PR plan to communicate Esol Education’s broad initiatives from new school openings to new partnerships and alliances.
Maintain and manage media relations on behalf of the Chairman, closely working with the Chairman’s office and various media houses, ensuring a smooth flow of communication.
Draft press releases, speeches, comments, opinion pieces, announcements, etc. in line with the company’s key messages, following up key releases with proactive editor pitches.
Provide PR support to the individual schools, publicizing key events and activities and student achievements.
Review, advise on, implement and manage social media engagement for Esol Education schools in Egypt
2. Communications Management
Support the efforts of Esol Education’s Communication Manager by coordinating all
communications efforts in Egypt including branding, events and news. This includes:
Brand Custodian/Governance
Be familiar with the Esol Education brand guidelines & style guide and check that all communications material adhere to this in terms of visual, written and online communications. Advise admin/faculty members on how the branding needs to appear on various materials
News Updates
Sourcing and writing articles for the newsletter and the corporate website. This involves working closely with school community relations coordinators, administration staff and Directors’ offices to ensure a smooth and timely flow of communication.
School Communications
Support Esol schools in Egypt in developing
their marketing and communications plans and integrating Esol messaging and materials as needed. Review materials and ensure that both school and Esol Education brand identity are appearing in the prescribed manner.
Events
Support Esol-wide events such as professional
development conferences and meetings of school heads
