Role Purpose
Ensure the development, implementation and management of brand (s) business plans to maximize sales and profits. Contribute to the enhancement of assigned brand (s) in terms of event planning, promotion, business analysis and new product development.
Accountabilities:
Maximize sales and profitability of the brand (s) in line with the yearly targets of the organization and concept's agreement.
Set yearly budget and ensure that standards for sales and rotation are established.
Coordinate activities of merchandising department to optimize efficiency of operations at lowest possible cost and, hence, maximize profits.
Optimize sales potential through effective use of available commercial information for the brand (s).
Undertake pricing activities for brand (s) based on pre-defined mark-up (s).
Monitor market' situation, anticipating trends, spotting changes and proposing enhancements in sales plans.
Develop and train reporting staff, technically, and ensure that the function has the necessary skills to implement brand's image and to maximize staff's
contribution to the organization.
Analyze merchandise requirements for assigned brand (s) by based on actual sales, sales forecasts, order parameters, inventory checks, forth coming events, replenishment needs, ... etc.
Plan layout of storage areas (stock room, Warehouse), considering turnover, size, weight, height and related factors of items stored to ensure controlling orders quantities,sales volume and inventory results.
Doing regular competitive analysis to compare, anticipate and understand competitors’ plans.
Develop merchandise plan for the brand (s) according to merchandise analytics, customers' preference, historical trends, forth coming events and sales forecasts.
Manage product' selection (new collection) according to the market's trends and analyze the market' segment in which the products are aimed, along with prices and competition.
Plan and organize events, prepare promotions, sales and special collection for the brand (s), coordinate as well as with the marketing department to increase sales volume.
Deliver periodic reports (Weekly, monthly, quarterly, ..etc) with updates of activities, plans and achievements, monitoring the brand's image and success of marketing plans and strategies.
Conduct regular visits and inspection to the stores, ensure proper functioning of the operation and the correct pricing and display of the merchandise, as well as coordination with visual merchandising team and their work plans.
Coordinate with logistics department to track merchandise that have been ordered.
