- The Lead Project Engineer plays a multi-faceted role.The purpose of his/her role is to manage and coordinate multidiscipline engineering and construciton activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner. Act as primary technical co-ordination interface between project team, engineering and construction contractors, as well as vendors and suppliers. He/she must ensure the project conforms to the approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements as well as the project expectations are satisfied.
- Report to the Proejct Manager, he is responsible for the successful execution of all aspects of Engineering, Construction and Commissioning of the project. He/she must possess a history of strong leadership, deep practical engineering knowledge and a proven track record for timely project delivery, project management, cost control.

- Monitoring/controlling of the work of the lead engineers
- Motivating the project team to work with a focus on project targets and result
- Participation in internal/external review & progress meetings and reporting on deadlines, quality, man-hours, quantities
- Act as senior project-level point of contact for clients.
- Assist in cost and schedule estimating, etc.).
- Support design teams with your expertise to ensure Intense delivers solutions that are both robust and feasible.
- Capture and document informal and formal design requirements.
- Scheduling and control of manpower planning for engineering including agency personnel
- Arrangement for required inspections with Procurement
- Monitor and control the technical changes to include change orders and variations to the established scope of work (claim management)
- Definition/Supervision of work packages for subcontractors
- Input to the technical procedures for the
project execution manual (incl. Quality Plan)
- Collaborate with 3rd party development partners and client technical teams to solve system design issues including integration of mechanical components, electromechanical hardware, and software.
- Create robust mechanical solutions that achieve the highest level of design quality and fidelity to design requirements.
- Close-out for engineering incl. analysis of change notifications.
- Create and manage budgets and schedules, and maintain team morale.
- Establish initial project schedules and regularly maintain project schedules.
- The Lead Project Engineer coordinates HSE matters:
- Compliance with the requirements of the HSE Management System for all disciplines
- Prepare and communicate project-related HSE requirements within all disciplines
- Preparat discipline-specific HSE concept and its integration into the project-specific HSE policy
- Incorporate detailed HSE requirements in cooperation with the respective HSE discipline experts
- Consideration of HSE requirement in inter-disciplinary and/or design reviews
- Assessment of the HSE performance of potential subcontractors in the context of the selection process
- Verification of the compliance with HSE-relevant contractual stipulations by the subcontractors
- Incorporation of HSE requirements from authority engineering
- Preparation of HSE-relevant new information as feedback to all HSE discipline experts.
