Head of Quantity Surveyor
Urgently required for the Biggest Corporate in Qatar
Job Purpose
1) Manages all costs relating to MEP (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Plumbing) engineering projects from the initial calculations to the final figures. Surveyors seek to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Many of these are specified by statutory building regulations, which the surveyor needs to understand and adhere to.
2) Works in an office or on-site. He is involved in a project from the start, preparing estimates and costs of the work. When the project is in progress, the Head of Quantity Surveyor keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Preparing plans, contracts, budgets, bills and other documentation
• Tabulation of price comparison and cost summary
• Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects
• To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales
• Provide a report to the Procurement Manager and provide advice in decision making processes throughout the project management from start to finish
• Recording and monitoring of all site activities and costs being expended on the projects
• Reports on the reconciliation of materials and works executed during the month
• Maintain all QS documents and logs
• Coordinate with all company departments as required for the execution of the projects
• Prepare and monitor contractors' project cash flow forecasts
• Undertaking cost analysis
• Supervising Quantity Surveyor staff
