Job Summary:
The job holder is responsible for setting-up and managing a world scale big bag warehouse storage facility including the formulation of the facility’s policies and procedures required to ensure the safe and efficient handling of the product. The job incumbent will also be required to identify required resources i.e. equipment, personnel, and systems.
Job Accountabilities:
1.Formulate operating policies and procedures for the warehouse facility and comply with the Company’s safety policies and industry safety practices to ensure safe and efficient handling of the product.
2.Identify resources required for the safe and efficient operations of the facility including equipment, personnel, and systems.
3.Plan and monitor the receipt and dispatch of the product and prepare various reports as required and
ensure all damages and problems are recorded and reported immediately.
4.Deploy a computerized warehouse management system to minimize operational cost and order fulfillment time.
5.Responsible for planning and scheduling warehouse resources based on the production schedules and sales orders to meet operations requirements while maintaining employees’ well-being.
6.Manage and direct warehouse personnel including setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Human Resources related matters.
7. Manage the overall day-to-day warehouse activities of the warehouse facility including general up-keeping of the facility, equipment regular maintenance, safety, security, change management, administration issues, and reporting requirements.
8.Coordinate with different departments as required to ensure the efficient and safe operations of the facility and act as the ‘voice’ of the warehouse operations at the management meetings.
